A mini construction boom is underway across the Redlands, with a swathe of new developments and refurbishments underway.
These new fitouts and upgrades are delivering several construction jobs across the Redlands and helping to position local business for a sustainable recovery as Queensland becomes the nation’s haven for sport, film and business.
Local Redlands builder, KIBO Constructions, has just completed the brand new Taste My Bean Coffee Shop and drive thru at Capalaba which opened its doors this Wednesday.
KIBO Constructions Director Lee Bourke said the company has been working with hospitality owners and operators for both new fitouts and refurbishments.
“Although we are based in the Redlands, we do commercial fitouts across all of South East Queensland, so it has been great to be able to work locally” Lee said.
Other local small businesses that supplied to KIBO Constructions for the Taste My Bean fit out include local plasterboard company Bayside Plasterboard, Bayside Carpets, Urban Tile Company and Icon Marine who supplied the upholstery, as well as many more local suppliers and tradespeople.
“Each fit out we do takes approximately six weeks to deliver and employs up to 30 tradespeople, most of which are local to the Redlands.”
Taste My Bean Manager Bronte Kerr said that she is excited to open their doors this week and they look forward to offering a new and enjoyable experience for people living in and around the Redlands.
“As well as offering customers a sit-down option in our contemporary designed cafe, we expect to see plenty of locals taking advantage of our drive thru coffee and gourmet snacks which is conveniently located on Old Cleveland Road alongside the Puma service station.”
